Never again (SOLD)
6″ x 24″ x 1.5″ (SOLD)
April 7, 2019 – 25 years +1 day since the start of the Rwanda Genocide. In 2011 we experienced the contradictions of beautiful Kigali – we swam and enjoyed luxury. We also spent a day at the Kigali Genocide Memorial. I find too often that my students have never even heard of the genocide, so I teach it. I will teach it in my history class on Tuesday in the context of legacies of colonialism. My children know. We remember the 800,000+ lives lost and the lives lived with memories of those 100 days. #neveragain
