Description
This little piece was created in the intense aftermath of the 2016 American election. I have dual citizenship and I vote, so even though I live in Canada I have personal investment in American politics. I was flooded with thoughts about the significance of my role as the matriarch of our house raising three boys in this social context. I want my boys to understand that gender is not a hierarchy. This painting was inspired by my determination to raise feminist sons.
